Machard

Design Studio Contromano, 2025

Machard is the result of a precise search for proportions, for an elegant and contemporary table.

Machard is a sculptural table, with an hourglass-shaped steel base that gives it a sense of lightness and elegance. The base is ‘woven’ with taut ropes that partially envelop it, drawing alternating upward and downward rays that create a visual illusion in which the table seems to float. A skilful weave that becomes the distinctive decorative element of the design. The rope work is available in red, green, grey, mud and mélange to match the round top in glass (transparent, smoked or bronzed), marble (natural polished Carrara white, natural Verde Lepanto, natural polished Calacatta gold, polished Roman Empire) or natural iroko wood. Machard is also available in an indoor version.
The top is made of Lepanto N056 green marble, featuring irregular natural veins that contrast with the weave of the green 137 cord. The polished surface highlights the marble’s pattern and complements the woven base beneath.

The weave rope is offered in five contemporary and trendy colors-gray, mélange, mud, green and red-that can be freely matched with the glass, wood or marble top.
